Desiccants are used to control moisture levels and prevent damage caused by excess humidity. Here are some reasons why desiccants are commonly used:
Preventing corrosion: Moisture can cause metal surfaces to rust and corrode, leading to structural damage and decreased lifespan. Desiccants can lower the relative humidity in an enclosed space, reducing the risk of corrosion.
Protecting electronics: Excess moisture can damage electronic components, leading to malfunction or failure. Desiccants can help maintain low humidity levels in electronic enclosures or packaging, preventing moisture damage.
Preserving food and medicines: Moisture can cause spoilage, mold growth, and degradation of food and medicine products. Desiccants can be used in packaging to absorb moisture and extend shelf life.
Maintaining product quality: Many products, such as clothing, leather goods, and artwork, are sensitive to high humidity levels. Desiccants can help maintain ideal conditions for these items during storage and transportation.
Improving air quality: High humidity levels can lead to the growth of mold and mildew, which can negatively impact indoor air quality and cause respiratory problems. Desiccants can reduce humidity levels and help prevent mold growth.
Overall, desiccants are an effective way to control moisture and protect against damage caused by excess humidity.
Calcium chloride desiccant is a type of drying agent or moisture absorber that is commonly used in various industries to control humidity and prevent moisture damage. It is made from calcium chloride, which is a highly hygroscopic compound that can absorb water vapor from the air. Calcium chloride desiccant is typically available in various forms such as bags, sachets, and canisters, and is used to protect products and materials from moisture during storage and transportation. It is commonly used in the food packaging, pharmaceutical, construction, and electronics industries, among others.
Calcium chloride desiccants are made with the highest purity calcium chloride that can absorb up to 3X their own weight in moisture, and offering greater and longer-lasting protection against mold and moisture damage from within your product packaging.

3.How to use desiccant in small packages
Preparatory work:
Please check the humidity of the package box with a humidifier before packing the product. Make sure the moisture content of the packing box is lower than15% (12%~13% is the best), if more than 15%, please increase the dosage of desiccant.
